Hello all

This is a genuine question. I have a number of new wheels and tyres for XK, XF and XJ, some complete sets and some not. Where would be the best place to advertise these for sale??? On here in parts or elsewhere???

Thanks in advance for help.

There is Ebay if you can stand any hassle. How about Gumtree. And the obvious PH. Loads of options if you consider the Jag forums as well

I got my XJ Celtics from a very nice man on this forum via Pistonheads classifieds, so that works as well.

Going to take a guess at selling prices;

The Volans were never popular 20’s, usually go for around £700

The Performance 19’s, only 3 so maybe £120 each?

The Black Cygnus are six spokes, again not popular, £400?

The Venus, has a limited market as the new XK comes with them at entry level, £450?

The Elegant, handy if someone has buckled one, £60?

The Helios, same as above, £50?

Might be more value in stripping them down and selling the tyres off, if they are new.

So, would you take £1000 for the lot?? rolleyes

Tyres are all brand new and correct makes as supplied by factory on the cars when they were new (balanced and ready to fit) , would prefer to sell them as complete units rather then wheels or tyres on there own but i take your point about tyres being worth more?

Would have to pass on offer of 1k for hole lot but if someone is serious about any of them then i am sure a deal can be done.

Just a quick note to all to say that I bought some wheels and tyres from this guy last week and they are absolutely as described: new and unused. After a 3 hour journey to collect, I was more than happy with the goods. Cheers.

I fitted a set of Volans to a MK1 XK not so long ago....Actually looked pretty good!

I sold them for £800 including adapter spacers.
