Well as per the title I've just flogged the XJR having owned her almost exactly one year.

Despite the rotten luck some owners have had I paid £4500 for her and just sold her for £4250 having only had to spend £200 over the course of a year. Not too bad at all but now petrol is back up to 107p/litre, and with ever-increasing corrosion issues, it was time to part ways.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped me with problems over the past year (albeit that most of them were simply paranoia!).

I have no doubt that I'll have another XJ in the future but in the mean time I've got a chrome 1970's Jaguar that has found increasing pride on my shelf.

Thanks again lads.

Sounds like you did well, nice to know the market is still there! What are you getting next then?

Yeah there's a market. My recommendation to anyone selling one however would be to get the car tip top before a sale. I've never known buyers to be so paranoid over a car that costs 4 grand!

Honestly mate I don't know what I want next. I've got 8-9 grand to spend and there's not a damned thing that interests me. Getting a shed for a run around for a while in the mean time and contemplating my next move.

To be honest the thing that grabs my attention most is the prospect of getting a bike licence. I've been into cars for so long I think that maybe the time has come to move on.

As I said I'll be getting an X350 eventually though. As much of a money pit as Jags can be I would have another one in a heartbeat over it's Bavarian rivals.
