First post on here - hello everyone. Just bought a 3year old XK 4.2 (56) Absolutely delighted so far. My question relates to retrofitting and ipod connector (sorry if it's been done before) The Jaguar approved dealer says they can't do it and a pretty decent car audio store also declined without explaining why. I looked in Curry's who have recently started selling and ipod connection service for "any" car at £99. Sadly on further enquiry it turns out that any car doesn't include the Jaguar XK because, apparently, there isn't enough room behind the unit for cabling.

Is this an insurmountable problem or does anyone know if I can get a connector fitted anywhere.

Many thanks.

Hi
Local dealer to me can fit a jaguar Ipod interface for £2/300. The only problem with it is that you can not control from the touch screen but have to use the ipod itself. Other than that the sound quality through the Jag audio system is pretty good

People I know have bought ipod cassette adapters that slide into the existing cassette also and allow an ipod to be played over the existing audio system. I understand that these are pretty inexpensive but it sounds like you are looking for something more/better?
