What's it worth?
Discussion
Hi guys,
Other half is getting a company car soon. As a result I'll need to pick up her BMW Touring as we need to keep an estate car for dog transport duties. As I can use the BMW as an every day car I can't really see the point of also having the XKR, and thoughts have turned to selling it and perhaps picking up something a bit less practical (2 seater) in the spring. This is only an idea at this stage and may change my mind.
I've been looking through the classified and am struggling a bit to determine a value for the XKR. The prices seem to vary wildly between approximately £15k through to £24k for newer models. Mine is a 4.2 2002 XKR with all the options (except Recaro's), full dealer service history and with approx 61k miles on the clock. It also appeared in the evo buyers guide August 2008 (issue 120 and on their webpages).
This is not an advert for the car as a may or may not sell and also don't know when Lucy's company car is going to arrive. Just interested in what people think it's realistically worth and mulling over some ideas.
Cheers,
Graham

Ummm, think I'll be keeping it if that's the case!
Good idea, keep enjoying the carOne thought though, I see you are in my neck of the woods take it allong to Racing Green Cars at Ash Vale,
just down the road from you, ask Chas there if they will do a 'Commission Sale' at a minimum price agreed with you.
For good cars they do seen to get the prices for you less an agreed %age
