I need to replace the rear tyres on my xkr, 18 inch wheels. What tyres are you using and can you recomend them? I have fitted Falken 452's to my other car and like them alot, that is a kit car though so slightly different.

any recomendations?

I've been using Toyo Proxis T1-R's
Being a Spirited Driver averaging some 15,000pa I find them the best.

I still use 245/45 on the front but have gone up to 285/40 on the rear (the same diam as 255/45's)
Using 25mm spacers on the front and 15mm spacers on the rear (not sure if spacers will be needed with 285's

Seems there's mixed opinions on the Falken 452's. Most people who have commented on PH and on several tyre review sites seem to really rate them, but others disagree. I have Falken 912's on my XJ and they are a perfect touring tyre - nice and quiet, with good straight line stability and a comfortable ride.

We have fitted Toyo Proxes T1r's to the quick hatchbacks in the family and I'm really impressed. Mrs JSs GTI had Goodyear F1's fitted from new and the T1rs it's got now are a massive improvement on an already pretty good tyre performance wise. Baby JS has them on his VTS and really rates them too.

Have a look at Groomi's tyre wiki on here, Pneues Online and Black circles for more info and reviews.

If you choose Falkens then Camskill seem consistently cheaper than anybody else.
