S-Type battery spec

Is the battery for the 3.0 petrol the same as the 2.7 diesel, or does the diesel need a bigger battery?

Sorry John, no idea, you could ring the parts dept. Get them to look it up check the parts numbers and amp hour rating.

Thanks - yep, they're the same.

I just rang the service department to ask what mileage the belts woull be changed.

'That model has chain drives sir, not belts'

'Interesting, I was told it had belts'

'No sir, chain drive on that one'

'Hmm'

'Well hold on, I'll just go and check...

... oh yes, it has belts.'
