are higher mileages a problem ?? Found nice car with spec i want but has 97k on clock.. It does however have full jag history..... Cheers

I've got an 05 diesel estate, and i'm averaging 39 mpg around town and up to 45 mpg on longer journeys, but then I've had mine remapped for more power. biggrin If you can, get a car with the built in sat nav as it's great, along with the associated control screen which is very easy to use for things like audio, satnav, climate control etc.

Just changed from an 08 2.0 Man Estate - easy 45+ mpg on motorway mileage as long as you don't too far north of 70mph. New 2.2 Auto estate is struggling to get above mid 30's, for the same useage - it's not run in yet though as they do improve with a few miles on them.

My 04 diesel does easily 50 mpg on a motorway run using a reasonable right foot, use a bad right foot and it drops to 45mpg ,combined driving I get close to the 50mpg

good service history is a must ,main dealer even better

Around town drops to about 38-40
Things to look out for , not a lot really, some suffer from rust on the boot lid where the silver jaguar wording is ,open the boolid and look at the corners above the number plate
rear suspension bushes seem to wear out regularly

some give problems with sticking door handles ,air vents sometimes pop up by the windscreen
but nothing really major

have a good read here
