Well it had a facelift when the new engines went in last year. The 2011MY has been announced with the 'Speed' and 'Black' packs. Last I heard was the XK's future past 2012 was not assured. It will depend if the XE roadster will replace the XK or complement the Jaguar line up.
The XK is a fantastic car, but why should Jaguar continue to make a £70k+ 2 seater if no one buys them? I hardly see any on the road, haven't seen a 5.0 ever!

I believe that XK sales have taken a dive in the current economic blitz, in common with most if not all other high end GT's. It's a pity because they are great great cars, with a beautifully resolved shape. Ian Callum must be the finest designer of GT Coupes in history, there isn't an inelegant line anywhere.
The 5.0 facelift was very effective in my view, and I just wish they would sort some of the interior issues, come up with some different wheels, and take that damned pimple off the boot.
If the market recovers the XK will recover. If not some of us should be able to pick up a few bargains. As far as a new smaller coupe based on the XF is concerned, well, prove me wrong, but I don't see how IC is going to make that work.

as i always say on here , i am a jaguar fan but i just cannot used to the look of the front lights on the xk. must just be me then The 5.0 facelift was very effective in my view, and I just wish they would sort some of the interior issues, come up with some different wheels, and take that damned pimple off the boot.

They don't bother me and never have.
I have been thinkng about this, after all, why would you not buy something which outperforms and outlooks an Aston Martin DBS for less than half the price?
Apart from the spectre of Sean Connery leaning insouciantly against the front wing of his DB5 (which is a big factor in aston's appeal, whatever anyone says - one of the iconic images of modern history) I think that the interior of the XK though not bad is not up to the rest of the car. It's not even up to the standard of the old XK8, which in my view anyway was exceptional. The materials in the new XK are great, the semi aniline leather on the dash is great, but its still too bitsy and its full of stuff, like the seats and the steering wheel, which belongs in a cheaper car. Therefore you can't get the same feelgood factor whether you are sitting in it or just looking in with your nose pressed against the glass.

I see quite a few in central London but agree that they are far rarer than the ubiquitous Vantages and 997s. I actually think one of the things I liked about my XKR was how rare it was, but it is a shame that more people don't buy them.
I know what people mean about the front lights - I struggled with them initially, but once I bought the car, they really grew on me.
Even though I cannot possibly justify buying another one, I am keeping an eye out on prices with a view to getting another one one day.
