x type advice

Thinking of buying an x type 2.0 man petrol lots of extras etc,low mileage and cheap price.

Question is are they any good? whats the fuel consumption like and any other advice would be useful.

Personally, the 2.0 petrol us a dawg. Gutless, crashy ride, underwhelming. The bigger AWD cars are great especially in Sport trim. 2.2D is also good.

Performance is poor, its slower than the 2.0D and 30mpg is really the best your going to get, where the Diesels do over 40. Thats why its was dropped from the range when the diesel came out.

However because of this they are hard to sell so you should be able to pick it up really cheap. should be significantly cheaper than all the other xtypes. Less to go wrong than the 4WD one, no transfer box or prop shaft etc. And much smoother and more pleasing on the ear than the diesel.

If you not bothered about how slow it is then could be a nice cheap car.
