XJR6 Engine into Series2/3 XJ6?

Yes its been done a few times and there was a 4.2 Coupe running around with one, we have one to do later this year in another 2 door.

Ron Lea put one in a RAM fibre D-type. That one goes well!

I'm planning on finding out the hard way later in the year. My thoughts go like this...

The XJS 3.6 used the same crossmember, with different engine mounts, to fit the AJ6. The AJ6 has been done successfully into the XJ6 many times.

The AJ16 was fitted into the facelift cars, and the AJ16S was the engine in the XJR-6. So it stands to reason, that using an XJ crossmemeber, with AJ6 or AJ16 engine mounts, it should go in. I've seen one in an XJS.

The hard part's going to be making its electronic brains work without the rest of the XJR-6 attached to it.
