My S Type R has an anoying squeeling noise comming from the front/left hand side of the car when the steering is turned even slightly to the left. Luckily I can only here it with the windows down but its spoiling some of the enjoyment of driving the car. The dealer hasn't managed to find/fix on the last two services. Breaks have been done so I don't think its break related.

Anyone has similar problems/any ideas?

When I had my STR I had a similar problem

Turned out to be a brake disk dust cover fouling the inside of the wheel.

Jag tech said you could run without them but would get more dust.

Might be worth a try

Thanks I'll have a look. It would be great if it was something so simple (and cheap!)

Just to close off this thread and in case anyone else gets the same problem it turned out to be a seized rear break caliper. New one fitted with new disc and pads and all now O.K (but not cheap!)
