X300 key fob reset

Morning all.

Got a x300 4l sov. The batteries dropped out of the fob and so it was without power for around 30 mins until I put new ones in. I then blipped it to lock the car which failed. When I got home I checked and discovered I was supposed to blip it three times with the car unlocked to reset. I pulled the bat out the fob and tried to do that but it wont work. How do I reset the fob so it locks and unlocks the car, which would be nice!

Sorry I did not respond earlier, been offline for a couple of days. I'll give that a go. Is the Valet switch the one that controls the central looking just next to the hazard button on the centre dash?

No it is inside the box between the two front seats

Sorted and very easy to do. I am amazed a dealer would have the front to charge for that to be done! Thanks for the assistance - I love PH.
