Fuore BlackJag

Stunning design concept stops the crowds in Geneva

Spanish Design studio Fuore Design are at the Geneva Show for this first time this year. Eager to grab some headlines, they've put on show their 'Blackjag' design concept.

It's a two seater sportscar taking its inspiration from Jaguar with style and poise being the elements that the designers wanted to achieve primarily. It's based upon a concept revealed a year ago, but with new bodywork.

The car is designed to take a 7 litre, 640bhp, V10 engine and projected performance is be 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds and a top speed in excess of 210mph. That's all on paper of course!

Time to fly some Spaniards over to Coventry me thinks...

Awesome design! BUT, it looks like a mix between a Porsche front hood, Bugatti Veyron grill, the side "scales" look like the newer Range Rovers on a bigger scale, and the rear looks like an Acrua RSX

Is anyone else fed up with 'triangular' headlamps yet.

And the grill is very 'old' Alfa IMO.

No way does this look like a Jag.

Not a bad effort but a little derivative and disjointed.

Looks Lotus Elise sized (probably bigger though with that engine). I quite like it though.

Can you imagine the presence that would have on the road?

I like it a lot (except the front lights and funny steering wheel)

Personally I think it's eye-gougingly hideous.

Like the back-the lights are borrowed from porsche and the grill is shocking-apart from that...

It looks like a hastily rebadged Seat concept to me.

Rear haunches look very neat and definately feline. The rest unfortunately has too much in common with Fish, Vauxhalls and the Germans.

Square steering wheel?
What car does that remind you of? : cough cough :

Nice style but the light is so similar to the Sabaru concept car.

Sportscar ... ok (like the performance quotes), although didn't know Jaguar having a source for a V10?

Styling (for a jag) ...
Where has the timeless lines gone (E-type, F-concept, current XK, ...)? Liked the RD-6 concept much more!

Hmm, not totally convinced. Bit of a mish mash, but better than a Seat Ibiza I suppose.
