Hi Folks

I have moved 'house' from the TVR S Series forum, to this lovely new forum

I had owned my TVR for over 10 years and virtually rebuilt it over the years, replacing almost everything except the body. Anyway its gone now, but I have some mechanical experience

So I have bought a 2000MY Jaguar XKR coupe and its beautiful, possibly the most beautiful car I can think of (within the realms of my ownership finances)

The XKR is a totally different car, but I am 38 and just had my first child, so its about time I grew up !

Anyway, I hope you'll get used to me in your forum
I have already joined JEC and will be joining XKec shortly
Regards
Giles

Welcome Giles, I too went from TVR's (S3, Griff 400, Griff 500) to my current XKR. It's a very different proposition but equally lovely. Coming from TVR's you'll miss the noise, your first upgrade will be a sports exhaust of some sort! biggrin

I was already looking at exhausts but when I bought my car last week it already has a stainless borla exhaust so you can hear the v8 a bit. Also has a borla cone filter and shield. Otherwise standard car but it's the only mods I would of wanted to do which worked out well

Sold my Chim 450 and bought an XKR too. Seems to be a theme developing...

Giles welcome to Jaguar XKR ownership

Like you I joined the JEC a good Club but you will be pleased with the XKEC
A verry lively Members Forum and loads of info.

When you have logged on you will see how I've made my XKR really GO with an extra 50% horses
Plus many other goodies, infact it was in the May Jaguar World Monthly

Shes in having new brake lines, flexi hoses & top bushes at the mo, just to make her feel perfect.

Welcome from another TVR exile, sold my Chimaera 4.0 and bought an 07 XK convertible.

Do look at the XKEC site lots of good stuff on there about all modern XK8s and XKs and both types of XKRs.

Happy quality motoring!!!!

Welcome to the new convert. I too own a TVR Wedge. Wedge is for the waking the neighbors, CB175 is for the daily commute, X type is for the nasty snow days I can't ride and the XJR is for towing the camper and my wife.

FYI my 5 year old prefers the TVR though, smile
