Hi All,

After the following saga with my Dad's 97 XJ Executive, whereby, with a broken boot lock and a flat battery, the car was bumped by sending a charge directly to the starter - the body processor module was subsequently blown. Here was my post at the time for info: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

It's currently with a Jaguar dealer in Basingstoke, who claim that they can't source a body processor module at all. confused It'll need a processor to put everything right, apparently, otherwise as I understand it, there wouldn't be a way of ever locking it, which isn't ideal.

So, does anybody know where I could get hold of one for him, preferably new. Tried Ebay, but without any joy, although there was a BPM for a v8 version - would one of these work, or does have to be specifically for the model?

Any help/thoughts greatly appreciated smile

Cheers guys - thanks for the responses. smile

Looks like Eurojag can track down the part, they just need the info from the dealer tomorrow.

Think it'll be an X300 - straight 6, 3.2 I believe - AJ16?

Thanks again!

Chances are you're right - the last MY of the X300 XJ6 with the AJ16 straight 6 was badged Executive (even 'tho I've owned both 1970's Ford E's and a 1997 XJ6 Executive it still makes me shudder thinking of the Executive badged Fords of the era with acres of fake wood, naff sports wheels, twin choke Webbers and velour upholstery) so yes, It'll almost certainly be a X300 straight 6.
