I'm struggling to find much options for purchasing new discs for my XKR 4.2 (2005).
The brake discs are front - 355mm and rear - 330mm.

EBC say they may start selling them soon, but they would be non-grooved/drilled (?!)
As there's the 305mm and 325mm discs as well, it's hard to trust sites when they don't mention the size.

So, I've found nowhere that will sell me genuine Brembo, one place that will sell me aftermarket (of unknown quality), there's Racing green who have their own (better quality than OE apparently) discs, but they're not cheap.

There's Rossini, but can't confirm if they do that size.

All the normal manufacturers don't seen to go that big.

And that's it. I'm hoping to get quality discs, preferably OEM & pads (EBC/Ferrodo) for under £1,000.
They must be good looking drilled/grooved and be made in Europe.

Please if anybody could help.

Tom

PS: As a side question, how long to discs last? The car is at 95k, and I have the full service history and there's been no mention of replacement (during normal servicing anyway). would have been mostly motorway mileage as it was at 90k before it's fourth birthday.

Personally having OE is just throwing money away. You can go to someone like British Parts and get just as good a quality for a fraction of the price £200 the pair

Chris Window who used to be at Racing Green and now runs Winspeed Motorsport was showing me a set of replacements they are using which I'm sure he said were much cheaper. I was more interested in rear pistons/callipers for my XK150 so wasn't paying as much attention as I should.

Thanks, I saw the ones on British Parts, I have to say their website didn't give me the best impression of them, (but I am a web developer, so I have unfairly high standards!), but their reply to my email was somewhat lazy when I asked for more information about the discs, whether they are OE, drilled etc and and requested an all-in price for all four plus pads, not a small order, they replied simply saying they do sell them, they are not OEM and the look at their website.

Obviously not particularly interested in business, whereas a bit more information, assurance they're as good quality and a price, and I may have ordered, but there you go.

The Rossini ones look nice, and the Racing Green ones aren't much more, but it'd be nice to hear from people that have used them.

I can do a pair of brake discs if you want them, cross drilled 355mm no problem £230 delivered or you can go crazy and have a set of these

£230 gets me non-Brembo presumably, do they look the same and what about rears? (I might as well change pads at the same time, low dust ones if possible, I don't do much high-performance driving).

And, what are those pictured, they look nice smile They're the calipers that I have, so I guess the discs are a straight swap?

I'll email you my details from your website to get some all-in, ready to fit prices.

There's some nice stuff on your site, might take a low number plate plinth, clear reflectors, halo leds..... hang on, first money goes on brakes!!

Those are not the 4 pot brembos they are the 6 pot Alcons off the MK2 XKRS

370mm dia discs 36mm thick 2 piece AP racing with aluminium bells and titanium bobbins. It is not the diameter that is beneficial but the thickness to aid cooling, of course the diameter helps but if you go too big you need 20" wheels and track tyres get very expensive.

That set up will cost you about £3500 the discs alone are £600 without the bells.

Not a massive amount, you can go the much cheaper route and use the original 400mm discs too, just need to redrill the holes on a 120.65 PCD and have the calliper bracket made and away you go.

Assuming you have the discs and brakes around £400 to make them fit.
