How to disable the belt.....
Discussion
Folk still drive around without them on, mostly youngsters I notice.
It appears to be a "cool" thing to do and shows some degree of rebellion I suppose.
'course you're also effectively uninsured as no insurance co in the world would pay out if you're not buckled up.
and if you're uninsured then you'd be prosecuted for being uninsured and probably with reckless driving too which carries a prison term of up to 14 years.
Plus the uninsured damages you'd have to pay off for the rest of your life.
and all because of a little bonging noise.
Funny when you think about it.

Legal ramifications aside, it's also funny how until Jimmy Saville came along, everybody in the entire world drove without seatbelts and just got on with things. How did anyone survive at all? I must have been almost killed thousands of times being driven to primary school (in the back seat mind you).Point is, your view depends on your starting point. Setabelts, fine, but overall I think we've reached the point where too much 'safe' is damaging society and the economy.

And I have had first hand experience of an accident where seatbelts weren't worn, before they were compulsory...and it isn't nice.
Anyone that doesn't wear one is a p r i c k.

Just a thought what about those people who are not able to wear a seatbelt and have an exemption are they p r i c k s too.For info go HERE
Maybe the OP was asking on behalf of one of them.

That leaflet clearly is aimed at discouraging the exemption of seatbelt wearing and even gives a number of potential solutions.
I dunno, some of the exemptees may well be trying it on so yes, they could also potentially be penile appendages.
I'm not a doctor or an exemptee, I'm just somebody who has been in a bad accident with someone that wasn't wearing a belt.
