Hiya,

The car currently sits on Champagne BBS (pic below), but what i want to know is what are the dimensions of this wheel, if we were to change them to somehting else? They are fantastic looking wheels, but my father just fancies another set. I reckon some split 3 piece lattice style BBS would look mega. We are also considering flaring the arches slightly, but have not looked into this yet. I don't want any jaguar wheels, the XJR 100 montreals are not an option, personal taste. On another note, the chrome bumper corners, has anyone had these finished in the body colour of the car? (pic below)

And last but not least, smoked indicator lenses, where can we get them from?

Thanks

I think they are 8J 5 x 120.65 PCD Milan wheels. Wheels for the X300 X308 and XK8/R will fit

Flaring the wheel arches? Are you sure you want to ruin such a lovely looking car? Really? Totally sure this will improve on the just fantstic design? Hmm?????

Come on, leave it!!

There should be a law that stops people who say 'mega' from owning Jaguars!

Hmm.. if you got off your high horse long enough to read the post, clearly you would see that it is his fathers car. Attitudes like yours towards this Jaguar enthusiast are why the prospective "younger" buyer might look elsewhere.
Sure you will come back saying it was a tongue in cheek remark..... WHATEVER loser

If it is done well it can look very nice. At least a lot better than some of the bolt on skirts, spoilers, bodykits etc offered by the aftermarket Jaguar outfits.
Even the later x100 xk's were spoiled by Mr Callums efforts to bring it up to date.

Leave it. Standard looking quick cars are far nicer than ones with just the wheels that are changed wink

Well that's my opinion, anyway :P Take it or leave it biggrin

Not many people modify an xjr so I applaud you for that.
I would try a USA based forum for ideas. Roadfly for example.

My choice would be a black wheel with a polished rim

There should be a law that prohibits you from using all 10 fingers.

Thanks for the advice chaps, been trawling through "image wheels" website, some fantastic desgins on there. Flared arches are just an idea and we were thinking only perhaps an inch or so just to accomidate maybe 1 inch wider wheels, will keep you posted

The fact it is his father's car is nothing to do with it. Not only did you choose to get involved in a dialogue that was nothing to do with you, but you misinterpreted the nature of my post. If that's what you have to do to feel clever, I pity you. Your attempt to double-guess a potential reply is interesting but wrong. Finally, you lower yourself still further by throwing a needless and untrue insult at me; your career and possesions are undeclared. I've had three Jaguars - how many have you had? But seeing as you are very new to PH perhaps I can forgive you for not having better etiquette.

I apologise to the OP on behalf of this fool for the distraction.

The fact it is his father's car is nothing to do with it. (surely it does, being that your statement was directed as if to say it was my car) Not only did you choose to get involved in a dialogue that was nothing to do with you, but you misinterpreted the nature of my post. (You go involved with a stupid remark) If that's what you have to do to feel clever, I pity you. Your attempt to double-guess a potential reply is interesting but wrong. Finally, you lower yourself still further by throwing a needless and untrue insult at me; your career and possesions are undeclared. ( i don't see how he was insulting yourself, and his possessions and career achievment is totally irrelevant) I've had three Jaguars - how many have you had? (In know way is this relevant also, P.s 3 is not impressive) But seeing as you are very new to PH perhaps I can forgive you for not having better etiquette.(Your etiquette has alot to be said for)

I apologise to the OP on behalf of this fool for the distraction.
