Hi all just a few pictures as requested from some of you who seem to be intrested in my Jag which I regret that I am selling.

The reason is the garage has room only for one TOY, my new TVR GRIFF 500. Pictures attached as requested by some. Hope you all like!

Thanks for all your comments lads, I am assuming it's the Jag that you all are reffering to. Now that I have both cars, the best of British, other than my third car to add to the collection if possible, an Aston Martin of course, I am having seconds thoughts as to wether I am under selling the Jag. The ad is on PH under the Classic section.

Can you guys give me an honest opinion, I am selling the car a a loss. If it is as rare as it is then shoudn't these cars be getting snapped up at around £15,000 plus for one in exellent condition.

Your thoughts would be most welcome!

I was talking about the Jag, but agree that the TVR is pretty special as well! No idea about what to sell it for I'm afraid. I'm sure you'd regret it though...

An excellent pair of British heritage..

Love that XJ coupe something very nice about the way the car looks with all the windows down.

And whenever I look under the bonnet of a Griffith I just have to stare at that exhaust system and think WOW!!!!

That is a superb Jag, i had a 1975 lavender one 20 years ago, timeless looking car.

Nice lavender car here, at Eclectic, not V12 though:

The BRG V12 is utterly desirable and I hope it goes to a good home.

Well they were a fantastic car but unfortunately the coupe has never acheived the classic status that everyone expected.

I suppose with the V12 it's the running costs that concern most people. Also because they have a relatively low value very few are restored or maintained to a high standard.

I know of a multiple concours winner (including Autoglym champion) that was for sale privately at around 15k, he still has it.

Having said that, your car does look to be in excellent condition and well priced. Have you had much interest ?

The XJ coupe looks truly amazing from the pics. As for prices its tricky, those cars have never acheived the same collectors status as the MK2 or E-type. What I've done in the past, to get an idea of value is try the car on ebay, with good description and pics (and with a suitably high reserve price!). It only costs £15 to do a listing and at least you can see what the bidding gets up to, so long as your reserve was set then you've no worry about having to sell at a rubbish price. You *can* of course get a fair bit more than ebay price, but it does give you an idea of what the lower end should be.

Don't be influenced too much by classic car dealer prices, a lot of the cars aren't actually moving at the sticker prices. At the end of the day any car is only worth what someone will pay, and its not the best of times to be selling a hobby car, especially one as dear to run as a pre HE V12. Really you'd be better off holding onto the car and trying it again when times aren't so lean.
