Sorry if I offend anyone by posting a for sale in this forum, but I've put up an advert for some newly refurbished 20" Sepang alloys in Titanium colour for an XK8/XKR up to 2006 in the classifieds, and thought they were worthy enough for an entry in the forum. Full details on the advert

Thanks

It was http://www.southwestwheelrepairs.com/ who are fairly local to me in Exeter. Very knowledgeable about the Jaguar Wheels. I think it was £120 + VAT for each wheel.

As a comparison, I think they charge £45 + VAT for one piece wheels up to 18", everything on these Jag's cost four times as much!

Forgive me for saying but that sounds alot to me as it seems you no longer have the stainless trims on the wheels, if the wheel edge was polished I might think OK still expensive but looks OK.

Last time I got a set of Detroits done like that it only cost me £200 and £600 for all new trims fitted on another set and repainted.

Thanks, obviously I'm open to offers, but I'm sorry if they appear expensive, I'm not in the automotive industry and don't have 'contacts' so things cost me more (+vat). I think it's reasonable, bearing in mind what I spent on them, and what the replacements cost.

To be honest, I don't think I'd trust a refurbishment that only cost £200 on these wheels, as they're a specialist job, but each to their own.

The Sepangs were available with or without the polished stainless rims. I'm not sure if these ones came with them or not, but they didn't have any when I bought the car.

And that aside it's personal, but I think it looks a lot better without the polished rim, and that's why I got them done in a non-standard colour, hoped there would be somebody out there that didn't fancy risking doing it themselves, but happy to buy these that are already done, so they know what they're getting.

Anyway, I imagine you're not interested in them, but thanks (I guess?) for your comments.

I'll put them on eBay when I can be bothered, if they don't sell I'll just keep them.

Cheers
Tom
