XFR/XK recall

my XFR's going back to the dealer for the "20 minute software fix" today. apparently the engine in 2010/11 5L versions may cut out whilst driving so they're recalling them............anyone know anyone who has experienced this??

No, but I got the letter. If it takes 20 minutes I'd be surprised. It took them 2 days to update the software last time. I'll probably wait for the next service.

Interesting - so does that mean my 2009 XFR has different engine software (I've not had a recall)? My car is due its first service this month so maybe it will get a software update at the same time.

just got back. yup, in and out in near 20 mins exactly. very straightforward.

oh, and mine is May 09 car but got the letter so I would ask next time you speak to them if you havent received the recall

I've had my car almost 12 months now and done 8k miles and never had the engine cut out
