both my xk8 suffer from a common issue, the covers over the coil packs and the packs themselves tend to pull out of the brass push in threads (not all) and over a period of time allow water and any spilt oils to enter the area and more often than not fill up the plug just under the water resevoir...and thus a missfire. even with cleaning and refixing the plug (s) have fowled up and need removing/// not the end of the world but very frustrating when you are about to go out !! any one else had simular issues.. time for a nice neat seal all round we think

A lot of places over tighten the coil pack covers, which in turn make the ferrurles spin.

I have fixed these many times by making over sized ferrules which can be pushed back in, I also do new polished aluminium coil pack covers with a descent O ring as a seal wink

Clean hole , add superglue wink Very handy that some of them are not attached, the rear lower bolt on the nearside is very Grrrr to remove.

Here's a pic of my engine, I will get around to putting it in one day lol




You can see what I did with the coil pack cover, this will also have JAGUAR laser etched or engraved into the top section
