Safety RECALL: Underfloor Brake Pipe Corrosion

Affected Range: XJ (X350) Vin: G00584 - G27877


Does anyone know if the above is still in force? Jaguar released a TSB last year (dated 15/09/09) about this. I think a call to a dealer would be in order; but wondered if anyone else has had experience with this?

No idea about the recall

But I recently bought a MY2000 XKR and the indy inspection found corroded under floor brake pipes where the p clips held them to the body.
I replaced 6 of the pipes to be sure its sound for the long term, only 1 was looking like an MOT issue

HI...I have a car in this range, I rang Jaguar customer services...number on the their website. Very helpful, if you give the reg or chassis number they will tell you if the recall has been done or not on your car. All recalls are free, no matter what age...so choose the dealer new you with best coffee/magazine collection and away you go.

Called local dealer yesterday and it's booked in for Monday for the work to be done. All free of charge and with a free courtesy car too! A result for a change

Excellent service today, they have renewed a couple of brake pipes as a result of the recall, cleaned car too and all for free.

Excellent....despite knowing about it, having an eligible car....I still haven't done anything about mine !!
