XK8 Seats - Two Types?

Hello,

I've been looking at older (98-00) XK8's and have come across two different styles of seats - essentially, one with horizontal stitching/panels and one with vertical.

What's the difference and is there a type that is preferable?

Sports and Classic IIRC. They are both comfortable. Some early XK8's had half leather seats.

No differance other than stitching, the frame is the same

The later 4.2 had seats with deaper padding and adjustable headrests, still didn't hold you in place on the corners

Also you could then get Racoro seats, now they do hold you in place
A bit like Hens Teath to get though, you can fit them to the early XK's with a bit of mods to the electrics

Hi. What are you looking for and have you checked xkec.co.uk ?
There is a guy on there keen to sell his 2001 XKR if you fancy some supercharger power. Any good, if so you could get a bragain as he's looking to p/x at the moment
