Anyone know where the cars start from in Coventry tomorrow? Browns Lane or central Motor Museum?

My understanding is that they start at Millennium Square Coventry.

It's like they're trying to keep it a secret.

It is an event being aimed at the press I think. When they were looking for cars they said we would be required to transport a UK or overseas journalist.

My friend's doing it in his E-type FHC. He's promised me pictures which I'll post when he returns. Yes, each car will convey a journalist, leaving Coventry yesterrday morning, staying in London and dining at the Mayfair Hotel, where the first Jaguar was presented in 1936. Then this morning on to Goodwood with their own private parking and marquee. Not even a ticket for them tomorrow though - thought that a bit mean.

No ticket for tomorrow maybe, but I would have been more than happy if my car had made the final selection.

I was asked to take part with my Mk1.The event finished saturday. It was great but exhausting,a real honour to take part, especially as I was the only Mk1 owner there.I had a group of Russian journalists media people to transport. Each will write a feature on my car and the event.

That is quite something, and taking part in this event really adds to the history of the car.

Agreed, thanks for that. The fact there were so many Top Russian media people involved got the old brain box going. I suspect that Jaguat may well move manufacturing there. It seems they have all the right ingredients, cheap labour, a huge engineering talent base and the huge stock of Raw materials in the Urals. They can manufacture everything in house rather than ship it from everywhere in the world.Watch this space
