Noise from rear under accellaration

Hi All,

A new noise from the rear of my XKR is a thump that is linked with speed and is more obvious under load when speeding up. UJ?? It starts at 30 MPH.

The only noise I get is from the passenger seat



Although if driving solo it's not there.

Rear axle mountings are suspect.These are the big rubber/ alloy bushes on the rear fram, just fwd of the rear wheels. Put the vehicle on a ramp and jack the back frame up, check if they have separated.Damper mountings or suspension bushes could also be at fault, also look for exhaust mounts broken.Look for witness marks if the exhaust has been clumping the floor.This is if the noise is actually coming from the rear.
Assuming the cat`s okay, it can only be one of these faults.
