Picked up my new Botanical Green XJ Portfolio this afternoon. Initial impressions are as follows:
Brilliant 3L Diesel engine. So much more refined than the similar engine in my RRS. Fast and refined at all times except start up.Possibly the biggest surprise of the car is how good this engine works in this car.
Fit and finish are top drawer. Its a very special place to sit. The touch screen info centre is amazing but it will take a few days to work out how it all works! A very modern environment with contrast leathers and carbon fibre.
Its a big car even in SWB version and contrary to most comments I think it feels big to drive. Visibility out of the rear is extremely limited but the rear camera helps when parking.
Ride is just brilliant. The damping is spot on and in Dynamic mode you do feel as though you are driving a sports car.
A major step forward for Jaguar IMO. Anyone in the market fo an executive 5 seat car should try one.
Thanks also to Sturgess Jaguar who supplied the car. Top marks on everything except the weather. Its not stopped raining since I picked it up!

Congratulations, i've done 9,000 in mine (oddly enough a Portfolio in Botannical) already and it still feels like a special occasion every time I get inside.
Watch out for the torque now the roads are getting greasy though, I'm finding the TC kicking in fairly regularly at junctions at the moment.
