Hi all how do you get the front indicator lens out for replacement on a 1999 XJ8?

Please dont tell me its a bumper off job, anyway thanks in advance.

Push the inside - closest to the number plate - end of the lens into the bumper with your thumb.

This will rock the lens to expose a plastic spring clip on the opposite side. Push this clip towards the lens with a wooden stick to avoid damaging the paint and you can then take the lamp unit out.

Twist the bulbholder through 90 deg or so and it'll come out the lamp holder.

Refit as reverse.

Anyone know a good cheap source of these please? One of mine is broken. I guess you have to buy the whole thing inspite of needng only the lens.

Try Eurojag. There's usually a few breakers advertising on ebay too.

I got one on ebay for 30 quid, 60 quid in the dealers.
