Just collected my 1993 6.0 V12 yesterday. Its been a long time coming and whilst its not mint it has a lot of potential to be a very nice car. That lovely V12 6.0l is even better than I had hoped for it only comes alive at about 80-90mph and then its off.
Any body recognize her let me know.

i bloody love these beasties. it would be almost impossible to justify but one put through the JE engineering (i think) treatment as may featured on top gear would be amazing.

I started the year in a 2.7d s type now I have two XJS's and a jeep for the dirty work. They are just such fun to drive compared to a modern car. The 6.0l comes alive at about 80mph. not a very sensible car to own but who cares you only live once.

i had a 5.3 'HE' (yeah right!) with a mate of mine. great car for a year, but the fuelling costs were mental in 1998!

he took ownership of it in the end and hammered it until the head gaskets failed.

If you buy a decent one use it for tweleve months and look after it you would probably get your money back as they are getting scarce. Put this against a car that would depreciate to offset the running costs and it all makes perfect sense.

I love the XJ-S; there really is nothing else like them. Time has been kind to them as it so often is to Jaguars. They are getting rarer now and that scarcity gives them a new freshness and an arresting beauty. No other car feels the same to sit in, and though the low enveloping seating position and vast bonnet viewed through a narrow screen can be intimidating it is supercar evocative, something the V12 only reinforces. Wonderful.
