I'm in the process of replacing the head gaskets on my XJR snd am trying to make progress before my manual arrives.
I'm a bit stuck on the dismantling process for the inlet manifolds, it looks like the supercharger has to come off first.
Anyone else here done it, any advice would be appreciated.

I have a pdf of the procedure for an X100 XKR, i'm guessing it would be similar.

Contact me via my profile with you email and I will send it over.

That is correct.

Throttle body off
Aluminium elbow off
You can now see a 8mm flange bolt 10mm hex at the back of the supercharger
2 bolts at the front
Thermostat pipe needs to come off (makes life easier geting the charger out)
Charge coolers off
manifolds off

Thanks, all dismantled, just waiting for the puller to get the timing cover off, is the crank locking tool sufficient to hold the crank while undoing the pulley bolt?

I do know someone who does that but the plate the pin goes through is really thin and could bend the plate.

The bolt is done up to 350nm and I prefer to use the proper tool that bolts to the front pulley, maybe if you lock the cams as well this will give you a bit more but then you are putting strain on your chains, if you are replacing them too, go for it.

Got the bolt undone, it was tight all the way out due to locking compound of some sort, in the end I locked the engine by filling one of the bores with engine oil.
