A Friend changed battery for me this morning, same rating as old one, but not a Jaguar. It is a bosh. previously car had no power only clicked and speedo went all the way to max speed and back to zero.

Car now starts, but lights lighting up dash board. ABS Fault, DSC Fault, When car is running the interior boot release does not work and interior lights do not activate when door is open (they do work by pressing button and when car engine is off the door activates lighting) The mileage displays, but none of the trip stats work its just displays hyphens "--------" The MIL light is also on.

Also, the parking brake is locked on.

Has anyone seen this before, my friend has told me it is a short or faulty module and left me to it. Can I isolate the modules or check where the short is?

That's a sure sign of a flat battery. I can't tell you what's causing the other problems - maybe low voltage has screwed the software? Off to the local indy or dealer I suggest.

An amp is an amp whatever it comes from, so the fact it's not a pukka Jaguar battery shouldn't make any difference. However we hope it says 'Bosch' and not 'Bosh'!
