New X-type Owner
Discussion
Hi, just added a 2006 3.0 sports premium estate to the drive as lease car going back soon. Must say I have never been a fan of jags retro look, however I wanted 4 wheel drive and a petrol engine so the jag fitted the bill perfectly.
Well I am now a convert! For the money you get so much car (mine has all the options) and it's a really nice place to sit.
Even with 100,000 miles it feels like new inside (one owner with full jag history) and drives great, just wanted to share my happiness at discovering a great secret gem!

Well with a lowly 2.0D SE Estate mine's not quite top of the range, but after 3 weeks ownership i'm loving it.
Never had a car with so much kit, and the Sat Nav works better than I thought a 10 year old design would. Just wish I had the premium audio system.
Just got one issue, and that is the fact that the tailgate glass pops open every time I start the car in the rain! I've had the switch apart once, dried it out and sealed it but it still happens.

I bought a 2001 3.0 sport for my girlfriend the other day. Tried a few, even low milage examples and ended up with a 128.000 mile that drove and looked like new, even has the factory satnav which is quite good actually.Well I am now a convert! Can only agree with you, an absolute bargain if you need a bit of power and 4wd and for one reason or the other don't want an A6 :-)

With patience you might be able to find most of the bits on eBay and fit them. I did this quite successfully on an S-Type, the key bits being the Premium head unit and a socking great chunk that bolted under the parcel shelf with power amp and extra speakers.Gassing Station | Jaguar | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
