white xk,m25 today.

I spotted a beautiful white XK150 today on the m25 near Enfield, being tailgated by late golf gti,the lads in the golf must have thought it was some old duffer out for a sunday drive, thinking as soon as he pulls over they will gun it past him,I actually thought it was probably an even thing between the two cars in an out right drag race up to 110mph or so.
And I know they were fast in their time but he pulled over into the middle lane let them get up beside him then left them for dead for about half a mile then let them cruise past him, probably with a massive grin on his face.
Impressive stuff which left me thinking it must have beeen tuned significantly.
any one on here?

If that was 5.0l XKR then it was probably standard. The acceleration at any speed is very impressive and totally relentless all the way to limiter(only tried abroad).
I think the clue was in the XK150 bit! Classic car that ended production in 1961. I would imagine the Golf may have struggled to keep up with the 500bhp 5 ltr XKR at ANY speed!Gassing Station | Jaguar | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
