MK4 Golf drives side puddle lights not working
Discussion
Hi guys,
All interior lights on my MK4 Golf work apart from the drivers side puddle light. I have tried changing the bulb but no joy. All the wire connections seem to be ok. The door light open sign on the dash lights is only showing when I open the passenger door as well now, not the drivers door. Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers.

This will be a fault with the door lock mechanism.
The switch for the door open signal is built into it. It fails leaving the symptoms you describe. It can be further confirmed by turning your lights on with no key in and opening the door, the warning buzzer will not sound.
Thought it was this myself but the warning buzzer is sounding! Any other ideas guys? The switch for the door open signal is built into it. It fails leaving the symptoms you describe.
