What are the pro's and con's for the following Spark plugs on the VAG 1.8 Turbo petrol engine 180bhp

NKG Part No.: 408440040 £9.48
Bosch Super 4 Part No.: 408660050 £3.24
Bosch Super Plus Part No.: 408772150 £6.36

NGK are probably the best bet, is that the Euro part number ? NGK usually use a different part number system that tells you what the plus is

NGK plugs would get my vote. had issues with others. not based on any hard facts.

It is yes.

Its a platinum plug aparently

+1 NGK, I would avoid the Bosch Super 4's, I had running issues with an old Rover T16 lump years ago when these were fitted.

It seems to be Bosch don't make good plugs for turbo cars bs the competition

Denso and NKG seem to have the edge.

Question for asking is it's quite a price difference but I'd not want to pay more than is really necessary if there isn't any tangible upside

Fitted 4 new NGK Platinum plugs into my Octavia 1.8T 4x4. And removed OE fitted NGK.

Tells me enough I'd say.

Yep think that's confirmed it for me.
Don't they last 40k miles too

I guess i'll be changing them around that sort of time. 40,000 miles or 4 years.
