Hi all
I have just bought my better half a Touareg 2005 model 2.5TDI Sport SE.
There appears to be an issue on releasing the handbrake, in other words when you pull the dash mounted leaver to release the brake it releases but not enough for the light to go out. Therefore when you drive off the hand brake light is on etc, sh then has to physically pull the handbrake by hand to release.
Can somebody help?
Is it just an adjustment issue?

Let me know

Cheers Ed

Common as they get on in years.

There's a little widget that looks like a shock absorber that'll be worn out. It's about twenty quids worth and you'll fit it in a few minutes.

Kneel down beside the car and shove your head up by the parking brake mechanism. You'll see it from there.

Just get into the habit of hooking your toe under the park brake and pulling it all the way up.
