Hi,

The Golf wasn't starting this morning. It was trying to catch, but just would refuse to start. (Sounds like - ehe ehe ehe ehe ehe ehe) But a lot quicker? - I don't even know if am making sense here.

Tried to some jump leads off another car, no help. Also swapped the battery out for another from a 2.0TDi, no help. The car is a DSG so I can't get someone to push it for me.

All the interior lights do light up, but when switching on the headlights, they start to flicker. The interior screen says something like - Oil pressure. Stop, (After about 5seconds of trying to start the car).

I'll probably have to get it towed to a garage, but before that, is there anything PH could recommend I try?

The car is a 06' Golf Gti, DSG. It was lent to a friend, who says it's been parked up for 3days.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Sounds like it might be a bit damp. Spray some WD40 around on the electrical bits and try again.

Thanks for the reply.

It turned out to be the fuel lines. My local indie just blew them clear and it started up.

A bit weird as I had changed the fuel filter a few weeks back. So am not so sure as to what caused it.
