Hello, Nurberg and R8 full harness
Discussion
Hi!
I'm new to the site but have been meaning to join for ages since several mates recommend it.
Anyway, after spending Easter Weekend at the Nürberg ring I'm thoroughly bitten by the bug! :-) This is a video of me getting a slither on in the wet on the 'ring yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ryc44YmgbtU
I would like to get some full harnesses for the R8 but have only seen them for sale in the US. Any suggestions?
Kate.
PS. Title was meant to be "Hello!".

Sadly I cannot help with the R8 question though I am sure that a call to someone like Demon Tweaks would be a good start (not many R8s get tracked so you are by definition in a niche). My main suggestion is NOT to continue to take the Playstation line at Adenaur Forst (if you had skipped the kerb any earlier, you would have ripped the floor out of an R8)

So after a morning of fast laps on the Nürberg ring (I'm a novice but I was getting under 9:30 which I think is respectable) I was on my way back to the hotel and just not paying attention. Completely screwed up a hairpin bend not paying attention:

She is drivable but leaking coolant. It looks like a small break in the right hand radiator. My mate thinks that radweld will fix it but I'm worried that might invalidate the warranty. Being in Germany I'd obviously prefer to be able to drive her back rather than on the back of a trailer!
Any advice on whether radweld will invalidate my warranty? I still have a year left on it.
TIA!
Kate.
PS. New member - only just joined yesterday so hope this is the right place to post this question! Please don't shoot me if not.

Kate - get some instruction - it will be the best money you can spend. Really wouldn't worry about a full harness. You'll have to have the car modified to put in all the anchor points. Simply not worth it.
If you want a half way point, try a CG lock http://www.cg-lock.co.uk/
