Just wondered if any Seat Alhambra (yes alright, not very PH I know) owners had ever used a Sanef Liber-t telepeage tag in France?

I have a 2004 model which has a heated screen. There is no shaded area behind the rear view mirror (which apparently is preferable) and the screen heating elements continue through this area.

The Sanef website FAQ section says to place the tag in the shaded area. https://www.saneftolling.co.uk/support/faq and says "THIS IS CRITICAL FOR VEHICLES WITH HEATED OR ATHERMIC WINDSCREENS". However, it then goes on to say, "Some older model cars may not have this shaded area. If this is the case simply place behind the rear view mirror as shown above". It seems a little inconclusive.

Checked with Seat UK & Sanef and they didn't know either way?? rolleyes

The sat nav we have seems to work OK and does not have any reception issues but I'm not sure if the recieved signals are the same.

Anyone have any conclusive answers or experience?

Many thanks in advance if you can shed any light. Apologies if I am being thick.

Thanks, appreciate you taking the time to answer.

I just don't want to get to the toll booth only to find out it fails, so any answers gratefully received.

Putting the tag onto the silk printed drop down area applies to solar reflective screens AFAIK.

Have used our Tag in a Reange Rover with a heated screen, never caused any problems.

Worst case will be you having to take the Liber-T out of the holder and wave it around the side window. No problem in my two previous cars, just slow down for the barrier so you could actually break in time if needed.

Many thanks all, much appreciated.

I think maybe I am worrying about nothing and as said, the solution of holding it by the side window in the event of it not reading is a simple workaround.

Thanks again, PP.

And did it work?

I'm about to head across the channel in my bus ('07 Alhambra) and it would be good to know if I can relax and drive through the toll gates, or if I need to waggle the tag out of the window.
