Audi RS6 PCP deals - any good deals to be had?
Discussion
When you can buy a new M5 LCI or e63 on PCP for less than 600 quid a month how long will it be before Audi come to the party. The best going around on the RS6 is well north of 1000/mth and while I would chose the RS6 out of the 3 if the cost was roughly the same, I am not prepared to pay nearly double. I am fairly new to the Uk but I gather Audi has not been playing the game that BMW/AMG have been over recent years to shift their premium models. Wonder if they can keep that up in the face of such competition?
Anybody managed to land a good PCP deal on a new RS^?
Cheers

I doubt it. MB from what I can understand use some substantial discounts/contributions towards new cars, which helps lowers the PCP rentals. Not sure about BMW, I suspect if the M is not selling as well, the same will apply. Audi don't seem to discount the RS models from new, because they don't need to. If a new RS6 could be had for 600 a month, let me know..I would be all over it!
There is a lot less RS4/6's on the road than M3/5's, Audi seem to run a different strategy on volumes than BMW who seem to pursue larger volumes. When an RS6 is near as double a PCP who is going to buy an RS6 unless you are a diehard Audi fan, or must have an Avant or AWD.Its a much more level playing field if a cash buyer but it seems many cars are no being sold on PCP's.....
600 a month for a new model RS6? You would have to put a big deposit down, one of these is likely to lose 35k over 3 years minimum, lease company will want to cover this AND make a profit.Arent the M cars run out models just trying to be shifted as there not selling normally? Ive never rented a car but looked into a new golf gtd as a run around and a zero spec one of those was nearly 500 a month.
Why would a manufacturer want to discount it's flagship halo model? It will sell in the quantities required for the first few years of it's life cycle without discount.
I work opposite a BMW retailer and since the new M5 has been out could count on 1 hand the number I've seen around. I'm happy to concede I don't work in the most affluent area in Kent or the UK but I really don't think it's been half as successful as the previous generation ones. Quite frankly it's hideous for a start (obviously personal perspective) and I'm guessing the AMG models offer the rawness M5's used to offer so people are opting for them. Also the E Class has been out a while and just face lifted so MB will have been desperate to shift all the old models, maybe by putting big deposit contributions behind the out going models.

There are big discounts on the new rs6 ,easy to get 10k off base price.same with new merc amg's ,you can get 22k off an sl63 for example.I work opposite a BMW retailer and since the new M5 has been out could count on 1 hand the number I've seen around. Frank - That confirms what I was expecting when I started this thread. The RS6 looks like a great car but unless you want a wagon or AWD, it has some stiff competition. Maybe by the end of the year the PCP's will be there to be had. Fingers crossed!michael_JCWS said:
I had the same issue. RS6 supposed to be competing with M5 and E63, similar list price, but PCP deals double or treble M5 and E63, making it completely uncompetitive, with the depreciation on cars like this you would have to be mad to pay £80k for one IMHO
Always with these sorts of cars. However I'm not buying one,but if I did I've specked one up and using broadspeed it would cost me 71k.
Now it would be worth at least 40k in 3 years ,so 10k a year on this sort of car is acceptable .
Very relevant thread
I've just ordered an LCi model F10 M5 on one of these heavily subsidised Contract Hire deals. Was that good a deal i've even locked myself in for 3yrs which will make this new M5 the longest i've had a vehicle as i tend ot get itchy feet around 18mths.
Pound for pound the RS6 can't compete with these deals & very little between the 2 cars. Took a new RS6 out last week & it was ballistically fast, but it carries it's weight i felt less well than the M5 does. List price on both cars is comparable, although you'd need to spend a couple of grand on the RS6 to match the standard M5 kit.
If this RS6 was available as a Saloon (i've no need for an Avant as we have a Q5 for load lugging) & the subsidies were available as per AMG & M, then i'd likely have chosen the RS over the M5, however both cars will depreciate at the same levels & neither is more common place than the other so Audi are missing a massive market here. My gut feel is that Audi's focus is on the A4/5/6 market where they subsidise heavily for mass volumes.

May I ask what the deal was, deposit and monthly payments ?
