Audi A1 Juddering

Hi all,


I’m looking for some advice, I have an 61 plate Audi A1 1.6 TDI. For the last few weeks I’ve noticed when accelerating its pulling back. Then yesterday it started to judder. The only way I can describe it is, it felt like the car was shaking because it was in a too hire gear. But it wasn’t, I was going 38 MPH and it was in 4th gear. Does anyone experienced this/ have any idea what the problem could be?

Never experienced this myself but it sounds more like a 1.6 TDI problem than an A1 problem.

As its still under warranty best to get it of to the dealers.

Did u sort out this problem? My a1 1.6 has got the same issue mainly juddering at 37 in 4th gear. Had it in at audi twice and audi assistance out twice. A fuel injector has been replaced.but not solved it??? Help

Hi,

Initially they said there was a system update, which I took my car in for. That didn't solve the issue. In the end it was put down to the fact that I had a Diesel and wasn't "thrashing" (their words not mine) it enough. I wasn't covering many miles. When I did take it out out on long runs it remedy the issue for a while.


I no longer have the car. I didn't sell it because of the issues I just wanted something bigger. This time around I opted for the A3 petrol.
