Folks, ive cold air blowing in drivers side footwell and windscreen not matter hot hot I try.

I looked in the drivers footwell for the actuator, this is one but it seems to be working fine, buts that the only one I could see and although by working the controls I could see its movments etc, I couldnt say what its for, i uncliped it and the flaps move freely, so I was kinda ruling that one out.

Where is the rest of them?

I flushed out the heater matrix but its was clear anyway and both the supply pipe (lower of the two) is hot and the return (top pipe).

So i need to know where the actuator is that directs hot air to the drivers side, passenger side perfect,

Try taking the glovebox out. IIRC Exeo is B7 A4 based.

Ok Folks, in the pic you can see 3 actuators taken from passenger footwell, Ive tried all of these and they all work, all move what appears to be full movments, just our of view is the recirc actuator to the left.

What is then actuator in the drivers footwell for? i looked at it and it did appear to have full movment and uncliped the flap moves with ease,

I have flushed water throught the heater matrix in both directions and it was clear, reconnected and managed ot get air locvk out, both pipes (flow and return) nice and hot.

Is there a bleed screw on the heater matrix? does the drivers footwell actuator, what does it control?

Need help boys,

Do you actually have water flow. I.e is the water pump working and is the thermostat working as it should?

I've been driving the car and water temperature is perfect so from that plus the fact that the left hand side is perfect I would conclude The water pump is working, I did read that there is a hole in the heater matrix pipe and this is used to bleed Air from it by sliding the pipe back slightly, so I'll look at that also.
It has to be something simple,

No air in matrix, good flow, checked for air by slowing sliding pipe back until air hole exposed and raised expansion tank, so no air in system, still no better,

Im beginning to think something has dropped inside heater and not alllowing a flat to close.

OK Folks here we go
Brief tail of wo to date;
no hot air to footwell.
Purchased AVG COM software for laptop, hooked up and walla, Right Footwell Temperature reading constant 90oC! so therefore telling climate control to cool all the time.
The temperature datalog attached see the remaing 3 sensors readings varying depending on either heating or cooling the the static white line is actually the right hand footwell temperature, attachment 1.

Problem solved, heating now perfect, learned a lot in the process.

1) dont remove the glove box and start car, this will put on the air bag light and Audi/Set will want £60 to turn off,
2) only by viewing the inputs and running the outputs check on Controller 8 HVAC is it easy to establish the cause of cold air blowing.

3) VCDS will turn off your airbag light.

Yes I know the obvious!

That is why I purchased the VAG com,

No one in the forums stated that removing the gloves box would result in an airbag fault indication.
I was stating to get VW/Seat to reset it was costing £60.

When I read some of the forum reply on here and people are generally seeking technical advise people are replying and filling up each forum with non technical replys, indeed just like this one!

Well aren't you a fking charmer! rolleyes

And you wonder why no one wanted to help you. Every reply you've given has been aggressive and/or sarcastic. I suggest you don't ask anymore for help. Since you'll only get the arse when no one wants to give you "the simple fix"

Sounds very much like something you "learned", ie, you cocked it up and had to part with £60. As you're new to VCDS you might not know that it can do that. That's why I mentioned it.

Still, you're the one asking for help and then getting arsey when you don't get the answer you want. Bear in mind there's quite a few folk in here giving away advice that would cost you that £60 an hour if you went elsewhere for it.

Irrespective of you two and your rude comments you have left me and others.
Hopefully for other people searching Seat exeo heater actuators will find my report, the symptoms, pictures, temperature trends, the cause and simple repair, helpful.

He flounced in asking for help, shot down the help he was given then flounced out again.

Not sure why someone would drag up this thread a year and half later to praise him whistle
