Im expecting my new Octavia Vrs Estate in April and ordered it in Meteor grey with the anthracite alloys. I have seen a few pictures online but they all seem different. Has anyone seen this colour on the car and if so whats it like. Am I likely to get comments about when I'm getting it painted and such like or is it quite stealthy.

I don't know if it's the same meteor Grau that Audi use but I had an A4 in that colour and it was a lovely colour IMHO.

Any idea what the Skoda paint code is? Audi is LZ7H.

I can send you dozens of examples of Audis in that shade.

There was one in grey when we picked our VRS up. I thought it looked like it was waiting its top coat, but it was fitted with Silver Pictoris wheels and no black pack which didn't help with that colour. Have a look on the Briskoda site there are quiet a few pictures there.

As above, it looks like primer that has been lacquered.

I think it looks quite good on the VRS but could date quickly.

It's more along the lines of the old Nimbus grey...

Not sure I like that; there's almost a bit of beige to it.

I've seen quite a few and I personally really like it. But my colleagues aren't so keen, it does seem to split opinion. As Dr G said quite similar to the Audi Nimbus Grey but a little darker.

The combination of the Anthracite wheels and the Meteor grey is very good I think, have you also gone for the Black Design Pack and Sunset glass? I'd say they were vital to contrast with the Meteor Grey.

You could also google Fabia Reaction as they all came in Meteor Grey.

Unfortunately didn't order either. Oh well at least you can't see it from the inside. Still prefer it to the red and the metallic blue as everyone seems to choose that colour.

Worth a call to the dealer and see if they can add any extras, it may not be too late.

It's very rarely "too late" to add something to a Skoda order, especially so on the Octy Mk3's. However you can find yourself back to the bottom of the wait list.
If you've been quoted 7-9 months then an extra few weeks probably wont hurt.

I was quoted 20 weeks and car is due in next four weeks so wouldn't want to delay the order.
