The aftermarket wheels do nothing for it. I'd be looking for a well looked after standard car from an enthusiast personally.

Looks a nice car but those wheels are really spoiling it.

As above I`d rather find an enthusiast owned one.

Could be why is hasn't sold, still looking for one. Some have 95k on clock, far too many

Anymore views on this car?

Yes it may have different alloys but I think they look nice, could easily change them back.

It's been lowered whats people's views on this?

Low mileage and from what see that's a pretty good.

Well over priced IMO.

Lots of info. on R32OC.com as well as some more reasonably priced examples for sale.

It's over-priced even at 7k imo.

For my money I'd be looking at a Mk5 GTi instead, engine note aside it's a better car in every way. Just my opinion.

I'm surprised nobody has commented on the hideous aftermarket stereo and daft sub and amp mounted in the boot. Any one of those, or the wheels, would be enough to put me off purely on stereotyping the likely previous owner....I know you don't buy a car to make friends with the last owner, but it just doesn't look 'right'. At that price or anywhere near it, it needs to be mint and original.

ETA - of course if nothing posted here puts you off then you clearly really want it, so go take a look and see if it's in good order smile

It looks terrible and has been in the hands of a "Bad manz" by the looks of things.

That money would get you a nice Mk5 '32.

It does look like that.

Mk v, I am not keen on them, from the back they look good, the front looks stupid and then the tax goes up to £485 per year. No thanks!

Some of the early MK5's are the lower tax band.

What's your criteria for the MK4?

Personally I dont see the problem with a head unit, sub and amp, great if you like bassy music. The wheels look distasteful though.

Mk4, low mileage , fsh, looked after, I don't mind different alloys because I could change them at some point. Not silver , as they are common.

My Mk5 was lower tax brand, 56 plate if I remember correctly...

56 plate MK5 is not in the lower tax band. Only cars registered prior to 23/3/2006 are lower tax so on the MK5 that's all 55 plates and a few 06 plates

Those alloys really do spoil the look. This one seems a far better option imo...

After owning a mk4 R32 for nearly 2 years and now in a mk5 R32, i'd say thats way overpriced, but it seams the Deep Pearl Blue ones always go for more money

I picked my silver Mk4 up for £5800 with 55k miles on and sold it 20 month later for £5500 with 78k miles on. lovely cars and id say the mk4 was more fun than the Mk5, but not much more money, the mk5 is more grown up and just a lot more modern all round.

i would personally pay a little extra and get the Mk5!
