Hi there,

First off wasn't sure on where to put this, that's why it's here.
Recently got my Seat Leon FR. I have been having problems with the DPF and the garage just seem to but it through a regen after it's been in limp mode (because I didn't do regen in time) but the car seems to be doing a regen every 2-4 days and surely that's not right?
But they don't seem to do anything about it apart from explain that it's a regen and it needs to be done, when I believe that there is something wrong with the car?
Am I right?
Or wrong?
Before I kick off them big time and tell then to have to car back.
Had it roughly a month and it's done countless regens.

Please help!

If it's doing small, stop start journeys sat in traffic then maybe. It might be it's not doing a full regen? Stick some diesel treatment in the tank and give it a good motorway blast using 3rd and 4th gear only.

What's the mileage?

Does it idle at 1k?

It's doing a good 15-20 mile journeys with abit of dual in there (which I use to do the regen sometimes). The car came to Wiltshire about month ago when brought it so should of had a good run out coming from Liverpool. But it's regening about every 2-3 days really. Done 44k miles so not to bad really. Just feel I keep getting fobbed of by the garage because they don't want to fix it. I don't think it should be doing a regen that soon? Surely it's got to be blocked or burning too much diesel for it to need a regen that fast? I should be making a trip to Ipswich from Wiltshire this weekend, so another good run out.

Also no it doesn't idle at 1k because they said they had a software update and the software now stops the car idling at 1k when it needs to do a regen.
