Audi a3 1.6 05 or VW Golf 1.4 07

Both are standard models, I'm only 21 been driving 4 years which car is best not just in overall performance but also best for insurance/running costs etc... I prefer the way the Audi looks but I'm not going to buy it just based on that

Would help if you specified which engines you mean specifically, since were loads of different 1.4 and 1.6 units used in those two cars.

Either are good but really at that age you want to get whichever has been most well looked after.
