B7 S4 Flickering Headlights

After some help anyone else experienced flickering headlights on B7 A4/S4/RS4?

It's well out of warranty so will have to pay to sort

Seems both sides do it randomly, have found no defined pattern

Sounds like the ballast unit on each headlight.

Not repairable and will need replacing, and are, from memory, quite expensive.

I have had the same problem with both adaptive lights on B7 RS4 during my ownership.

Replaced the headlights (£500 per unit at a main dealer), but the flickering continued.
Next, the control modules behind the headlights were replaced. I'm not 100% on price, but can look it up if you wish. I remember the job was very expensive, though.
