I'm thinking of getting an S6 2006(ish) and wondered what too look out for, any advice about owing etc etc.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks

Awesome cars, surprised you've been left waiting for an answer!

I own a 2006 S6 saloon, and every time I drive it, it makes me smile.

The engine itself is relatively bullet proof from what I've read, occasional inlet flap issue, but pretty much nothing out there to say avoid.

Mine has 160k on the clock, and runs brilliantly.

With any car of this ilk, of course running costs need to be considered, don't even consider fuel consumption, it consumes, lots, end of story, the v10 growl is simply so addictive.

In summary, a great barge, capable of ridiculous speeds, for not a lot of money. Real q car.

I was going to reply earlier but couldn't think of anything to say really as mine has been faultless.

I bought mine off a great guy, he'd obviously looked after it, and have just driven it everywhere ever since.

It's for sale at the moment because I've got a monumental tax bill coming but I'm actually hoping it doesn't sell as I love it smile

Another happy S6 owner. 2006 avant, 129,000 miles. I've had it since November, a cheap fixed priced service from Audi and no other problems.

Cheap tyres available here whilst you lot are gathered together.

Toyo's are cheap if you don't mind old tyres. Audi specific too.

Thanks all. We've got a VXR8 and this is one of a couple of choices to go along side it. Fuel etc don't worry us, reliability etc does, so thanks all.
