Having settled on an r8 as my next car, I was originally minded to get a v8 manual.....only problem is the v10 seems to me so oo much more of an actual supercar so I'm now hoping to go for a V10 r tronic

- do these v10 models suffer any notable issues?
- how long do the clutches last on these and what would be the costs of replacement (ie is in ferrari league price wise!

Oh sorry forgot to ask....where the fancy v10 alloys (sorry I don't know the proper name for them) standard or an option?

I've seen a couple of v10 cars with the 19" v8 style alloys.....is this is order or has the owner changed them?

The standards are the Y spoke alloys but you could spec the V8 alloys if you wanted.

I'm almost up to 35k miles and still on the original clutch (mines a manual so ymmv!). I think the cost at Audi was in the thousands for a new one, between 2 and 4k I think.

You could always save some money and do it yourself smilehttp://www.pistonheads.com/GASSING/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I haven't had any serious issues and all the minor ones were covered by an Audi warranty/extended warranty.
