Brake hose failure on C7 MY13 A6 Allroad
Discussion
Gents,
Have just have a rear brake hose fail on A6 Allroad (2013) - The tech that had worked on the car managed to put a 360 twist in the hose, the twisted hose rubbed against the CV joint and 500 miles later failed, dumping almost all the brake fluid. Luckily felt the brakes go spongy and the car / and passengers were all safe when I discovered the fault. Didn't help we were on holiday but recovery service VAG & AA Europcar and all contacts within Audi were very helpful and pushed out a new S5 cab for us to continue our holiday in.
I have worked in the oil industry for a long time, when such a cock up occurs there are normally 2 outcomes. 1) A cover up! 2) The incident is communicated across the industry to ensure that it does not reoccur.
Is there any similar system in the VAG service network?
